5 Easy Ways to Improve Your Health, Energy and Well-being

Here are five easy things you can do to help improve your health, energy and well-being…

Hydrate

1.  Hydrate

Drink more water.  Drink lots of it.  If you are drinking less than a gallon a day then you can drink more.

I’ve heard it said many times “You’re not hungry, you’re thirsty” and “You’re not tired, you’re dehydrated”.

Water cleans out your body.  It is necessary for most chemical functions in your body.  It lubricates everything and keeps it all going.  Drink lots and lots of water.

Green Tea

2.  Drink Green Tea

Aim to drink 4 cups of green tea a day.

Green tea gives natural energy and antioxidants.

It contains a rare compound called ECGC (epigallocatechin gallate) and also helps to burn fat and boost your metabolism.

People in Okinawa are some of the longest living in the world and the #1 reason they say it is is because of drinking lots of green tea.

To ensure you do, brew all 4 cups at a time.  Let it cool if you want, add some honey ice, and put it in a water bottle.

Try to use water just below boiling temperature when brewing it and steeping it for a minute is usually more than enough.  Add a little honey if you’re drinking it on an empty stomach.

Do whatever works for you.

Sugar

3.  Cut out as much SUGAR as possible

Sugar is pretty much the devil.

It is the main reason people are so fat in the United States.

It is a huge reason why so many people get depressed and have inflammatory diseases.

It saps energy and overall life force.

In the wild sugar doesn’t exist in the quantities and forms that we are used to.

Modern science as it is applied in the modern food system turns it into something evil

Cut out as much sugar and enriched flour that you can.  Eat as naturally as possible.  The more you cut out the better.

Meditate

4.  Meditate

I mention this a lot, but it’s so incredibly important.

Even five minutes a day is better than nothing.  Often after doing five minutes you’ll find yourself going longer to 10, 15 or 20 minutes.

There are all different types of meditation from just emptying your mind and focusing on your breath, to guided meditations that you can find for free on Youtube, to advanced energy manipulations.

Find things you like and that make you feel good afterwards.

Meditation actually makes you younger (yes this is true and proven.)  It boosts your immune system, gives you more energy and makes you happier.

DO IT.

Red Wine

5. Drink Red Wine

If you’re under-aged, really sick or a recovering alcoholic then don’t follow this one…

…otherwise drink a glass or two of red wine a day.

Every single one of the top cultures with people that live above 100 has wine or rice wine as part of the diet.

Don’t drink more than two glasses if you’re looking for a health benefit.  Drinking more than that has a negative effect.

Red wine has antioxidants, is good for the heart, relaxes you and might even make you a little more creative.

If you are procrastinating with something try coupling it with your daily glass of wine.  It just might do the trick.

There you go.  Try some or all of these.  Google the research on these.  There is plenty for all of them and I don’t feel like posting links.

Comment if you have any questions.

Otherwise, live interesting…

All the best,

D
