The world has so many interesting parties, festivals and celebration for interesting people to attend.
Life is meant to be lived, but it’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day grind where we lose touch with the bigger picture.
Each of our lives is meant to be a masterpiece. We are meant to live and think big. We are meant to meet interesting people and see interesting things. We are meant to explore, learn and grow.
The world has countless ways to celebrate life if you go out and look.
Some of the biggest parties in the world include Carnaval in Brazil and Trinidad, the Full Moon Parties in Thailand, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Halloween, New Years, and so many others.
Different countries and cultures have so many different ways to celebrate and it is important to take part in some of them. There are major ones like those listed above and smaller local ones.
One reason I am writing this now is that I was thinking of Santacon which is coming up next month. It is a celebration that takes part in cities around the world where people dress up in Holiday inspired clothes (mostly Santa Claus outfits) and roam around the city celebrating. It is open for anyone to attend and most people have a great time.
It is too easy to fall into old patterns of life and celebrations like this are great pattern interrupts that remind you there is more to life than work, daily errands, television and whatever else occupies 99% of our time.
Find events that click with you. Find some that stretch your comfort zone. Find things that are local and plan some that you have to travel for.
When you are 80, 90 or 100 years old it is almost a guarantee that you will wish you did more of these things…
All the best,
